Manders, you are not alone, many of us are still waiting. We feel your agony.

I ordered 7th May. Was told in October by my dealer it would be built 12th November. Apparently by early December the system still said it was due to be built the previous month. My dealer now tells me its 'in production'. Who really knows. And if they build it, will it get on a boat?

The cash is sitting in my bank. If the car turned up next week, I would go get it. But it wont. And in truth, if I get mine before those who ordered before me there is something wrong. If someone who ordered after me get theirs before me that wont make me smile either! But we all know that Ford dont seem to have any logic to what car they make and when they ship it.

I am sure when the car arrives it will be worth the wait. No one here who has their car has said otherwise. So until then I am just going to try to be relaxed about it. That wont be easy though. I think it would have been a much harder wait when I was just 21 though.

Just to confirm, i'm not angry about the wait time, or the fact i'm way under the 12 month schedule. I'm annoyed at the broken promises.

In my eyes the second I was told 'It will be build 11th Novemeber' that 12 month lead time went out the window, because it in theory had. If I hadn't been told all this information i'd still be content with a setepmber 2016 pickup. It's the fact i've been messed around with my order and build dates, given incorrect information etc that annoys me :).

You're all right though, I won't give two sh1ts once it comes, but equally, it'll leave a stain on Fords reputation to me. Aren't they lucky I see the Mustang as a completely different identity...

C11EWM Yep, that's what got me incredibly sceptical, but I just assumed it was ETIS being slowly updated as i've been told by Ford reps Dealer etc etc that ETIS 'Can be slow to update.' But really, where's the trust, I might order a 2.3L mustang but what shows up might be an actual mustang... a whole 1 horse power of it!

TBH that would piss me off more than just being told "don't know" all the time.
I'd rather 'Don't know - Should be done within the 12 months agreed' than - Nov/Dec/Dec/Jan/Jan/Feb that i've had. Basically changing the timescales consistently, but maybe that's my background of project management coming into play. Equally, on a people management perspective you don't mess with their 'emotions', if you tell them you'll do it on a certain day, do it, if it comes before, do it on that day, and if you make a mistake, don't repeat it 5 times.

Need to prepare for everything at this rate... Could have a horse, could have a Mustang, could end up with a Shelby, could end up with a kit to build my own car

I ordered mine in October 2015 so if i could get mine by May/June i would be very happy, although i understand that your pissed about the misinformation rather then the delivery of the car.

Once you get the thing all this will be forgotten so hopefully you get the car at the time you now expect to:)

On a side note i am interested in this wrap and where your getting it from. I have a few bits and pieces i want doing when i get mine so if you know a good places to get decals made up i would be very grateful to be sent in the right direction.

Will PM you the info online, hard to find decent places in/around Birmingham in general, nobody official, a lot of 'word of mouth', fortunately guys i'm going with are friends of friends, they're legit and have some decent contracts with some big corps, i'll drop the details in a PM.

Got to get the car before it gets wrapped, fortunate that they're friends because otherwise most wrap companies would have thought i'd been taking them for a ride with how many times i've changed the bleeding date of this wrap. fuuuuooooarrkkkk

Cati I know man, and I know people get it worse, I needed to vent, it's annoyed me, as I'm sure your issue did - Not a competition because if it was yourself and stark might top it with Big G bringing in third place for 'horror stories' and what not

We're in the same boat bud! Everything you get told I seem to get told, try not to think about it too much and just be happy when it's built, about all I figured I can do lol, it's not long now! :)

True :) but we like to know that there is a front to the queue and that others, through no fault of their own are not being promoted to the front of the queue ahead of time.

Ford have not handled this well no matter how you slice it, but it'll all be good in the end

I know how it feels man. My car was supposed to be delivered June 2015, it left the factory and returned 3 times. When it arrived in October 2015 if was all wrong. Misaligned panels, loose turbo air pipes, low on power, grinding transmission noise, cooled seats not cooling, underbody protection sprayed everywhere...

Been visiting the dealers pretty much since then. There's nothing you can do. Sit back and hope it's at least OK when it arrives.

Good luck!
