I have the same issue with my driver side door on my 2017 GT as well. I loosened the bolts and moved the striker as far in as possible and tightened them again. The door still sticks out by about 1/16th of an inch but it's not as obvious as before.

And you accepted this?

Anyone else have this problem? Just picked up the car last week. Drivers side door doesnt close flush. Passenger side looks fine.
Another new owner so excited that he didn't take the time to check out his new $35K toy before he paid for it?

Umm brand new car, still under warranty, why is it not at the dealer getting fixed? Make a list and take it in, problem solved. I always wonder why that is so hard for some people? You PAID for the 3yr/36k bumper to bumper use it. If you don't trust your dealer find one you do, any ford dealer can do the warranty work.

If the door sticks out past the quarter panel equally from top to bottom you can slightly loosen the striker on the door jamb and move it in a little. Gently snug it up and slowly shut the door to check alignment. If your not happy readjust. If you are happy tighten the striker. It doesn't take a lot to make it right so take your time. It's really easy.

If for example the top of the door stick out past the 1/4 panel you'll have to adjust the door itself at the hinge. To do this you'll gently loosen the bolts on the door (leave them snug enough so the door doesn't get out of wack) and move the door inward slightly. Go slowly. Less is more. Once it's adjusted, snug up the hinge and SLOWLY shut the door while watching the fender to door gap, and door to 1/4 panel gap.
Thanks for the info on the striker!

I adjusted my driver side - door closes better and has a better sound when closing (tight like passenger side doorr). I also made another observation, when closing the driver door, the driver door window no longer rattles upon closure!

Hi. Did you by any chance have any of your doors not sitting flush with the fender instead of the 1/4 panel? If so how did you adjust it to sit flush with the fender? My driver side door is slightly more inside.

How's the hood to fender gap?
Is it straight on both driver and passenger sides?
Can you provide a picture of the hood to fender gap both sides and door to fender gap your talking about.

Hi,

I did not have any issues with the door to front fender alignment on either side of the car. Only my driver door was slightly skewed at the B-pillar 1/4 panel, but after adjusting the striker it's much better now.

If yours is misaligned at the front fender, you may have to adjust the fenders or the hinges found at the front edge of the door where they are secured to the A-pillar.
