That did the trick! You were right, disconnecting the battery didn't work. I did what you said started the car and then pulled the #32 fuse. Then I shut the car off for a few minutes and restarted the car then put the fuse back it. Now it's working again. The SYNC must hold a charge because disconnecting the battery should have worked. I know now. Thank you for your help
Glad it worked out! Now everyone knows I'm not crazy!!!

Playlists

Anybody have any luck building a playlist (an actual playlist, rather than a folder that contains the music you want to listen to) that works with the USB dongle in the glove compartment?

.m3u playlists work with SYNC, via USB 1/2 but haven't figured out anything that works with the unit. I'm getting kind of addicted to seeing my album art...

does this require mounting an external antenna for the gps? if so where is a good place to mount this? and does the factory usb inputs in console and under radio still show all iphone info on screen when using?

No, actually, the best place to mount the GPS antenna is under the center section of the dash, the one where either your center speaker is or would be if you don't have one.

Yes, if you choose SYNC on the screen's menu.

My suggestion is to watch the demo video and some of the install videos on youtube

I honestly haven't tried any other way of building playlists after failing initially. I just have the folders and just separated the music by moods to avoid having duplicates.

*Haven't been in this thread for a while, is there still no fix for seeking/fast forwarding when in a song in any of the media modes?

Yeah, that's kinda what I thought, just was wondering if anyone had found a way. I've tried several then gave up.

Not exactly sure what you mean. Are you talking about within a song, while it's playing? I found that the progress bar is a slider so you can move forwards/backwards within a song by sliding your finger along the progress bar.

Sorry, that should have read in any *other media modes. Sync, stock USBs etc. I love just using bluetooth or ipod/iphone but don't like that I can't seek within the song in any other mode.

Who else has an issue with latency response when pressing buttons while music is playing? It takes more than 3 seconds to respond? How about more than 10 seconds at times? And I'm not even talking about when you're on the navigation.

Also, have you been helped with your problems? Or is the usual suggestion to pull the fuse or reset the system? Because those two do NOT work for me. I'm tired of being embarrassed by the Moddiction owner not reading my e-mails and or messages, and offers the same advice I've already read through the 100+ pages on here. It's disgusting. He's trying to tell me to pull fuses and see if that works. It doesn't. I've tried everything. Resetting, Master Resetting, Fuse pulling, everything. It does not work.

His remedy is, is to have me send it back at my own cost, and he'll plug it up to the wall, and bypass the Sync system, where he believes it's lagging it down. That's funny, because my $300 KKmoon head unit had NO latency issues while trying to do playback with or without the nagivation shown or loaded. It even had more detailed of a GUI, and it had lesser quality of a processor to work with. It's just a defective product. I'm about to film a video and ask for my money back. 14 seconds to skip a song is absurd.

It's also really inconvenient that he picks and chooses which e-mails to respond to. I've never had such terrible customer "service."

I only experience it while Nav is on. I rarely use Nav now that I'm back in Dallas so I've learned to just live with it. Not saying you should do the same; just wanted to chime in my issue is during Nav use.

I've responded to every email you have sent us. I apologize if sometimes it took a day to respond though as we are very busy.

Not once have you mentioned that you tried pulling sync fuse to reset it. In fact you said you didn't want to risk your safety in doing so..

You have not mentioned that you have tried any troubleshooting.

You have refused every troubleshoot step we have offered stating we are biased.

We have asked for a video to show us the issues so we can better help you. You refused making us try to help in the blind.

We have offered to replace the unit for you if defective. You have refused.

We have offered a full refund if defective as well. You have refused.

As I mentioned in the past, I've also had slow downs when NAV is on. So I have it so NAV does not enable on boot. The SYNC fuse is a legit troubleshooting step when SYNC starts to have issues. It was like that on my 2010 Mustang, but I haven't had any issues with my 2016 so far *knock on wood*
