Android, galaxy note 5.Do you have an IPhone ?
I really haven't found a good workaround. When mirroring, it looks like audio is transmitted over HDMI which explains why the buttons on the steering wheel or the ones below the screen don't work.abie915 or anyone mirroring their Apple device... How are you skipping songs when mirroring? I like using Waze so I'm trying mirroring but having to access the phone screen to skip songs isn't really convenient. I've tried a few work arounds but none were successful.
Yes, my notifications work with iPhone.Anyone with a IPhone have it working ?
Yea, I tried hooking up my Apple earphones hoping I could just double-click and skip like normal but if the audio is being played through another source I guess it doesn't work. May just return the adapter and use the Nav on the unit :(I really haven't found a good workaround. I also discovered yet another problem today: bluetooth playback from my phone does not work at all. I am starting to regret buying this.
Are you able to play back music over bluetooth and use the hardware buttons to play/pause/skip tracks with the lightning cable disconnected? I've just discovered that I can't get any kind of audio over bluetooth.Yea, I tried hooking up my Apple earphones hoping I could just double-click and skip like normal but if the audio is being played through another source I guess it doesn't work. Yes, Bluetooth is working fine for me. I've played music from my phone and iPod over Bluetooth with no issues. All steering wheel and hardware buttons also work as well as on screen skipping. Are you able to play back music over bluetooth and use the hardware buttons to play/pause/skip tracks with the lightning cable disconnected? I can make and take calls over bluetooth though, so I know my phone is connected. I am using an iphone 6.
Mine works fine over bluetooth. I would check all the connections if I was you. Every little cable on the harnesses. I know some people had some cables that were not held well on the harnesses. Mine don't work as well :(Anyone with a IPhone have it working ?
I was just reading some of this thread out of curiousity. I don't actually have this unit. However, I do recall that I was originally having issues getting text message notifications on my factory MFT unit (Mine is a 15' GT Premium with the 8" Sync 2 system). It turned out that there was some setting that needed to be turned on in the iphone settings (I have a 6 Plus). I can't remember exactly what it was but I think it was under Settings > Messages. Once I turned on that option, it worked fine. Wondering if you may be having the same issue.Everything works for me except the text message notification and Siri hands free on my iPhone 6
You have to go into Bluetooth settings and click the i for SYNC, then turn on show notifications.Everything works for me except the text message notification and Siri hands free on my iPhone 6
I did that and It still doesn't work. I even did a rest on my phoneYou have to go into Bluetooth settings and click the i for SYNC, then turn on show notifications.
