Anyway, I just wish we can have full access to the unit, and hopefully down the road have the opportunity to meet really "SW" talented people that can design specific apps for it and even UI. (I'm not one of these)

For example, I did happen years ago with my BMW X5 navigation software and outcomes were amazing.

Having Rosen, Raxion and this unit as the same, brings a great opportunity.
F150 and other units from Sintegrate are the same. More people to bring ideas!

Did you buy the HU from the Moddiction store? if no then maybe things are different, especially if it's been updated.
Yes, could be the case. But, what's the point if i can have a full working front slot?

If it brings benefits, I want that update, otherwise, I don't.
My Unit has Sync2 look and feel, and works great. Not issues at all. Movies, maps and Mp3 in my front SD.

At some point I did update to a Sync3 SW, I didn't like it, and went back to Sync2. It just takes a few minutes, even seconds if you use Total Commander.

I don't want to be a troll here, I just want to share two key messages:
+ This unit is way better than Tomtop
+ Let's share resources and let's make it even better.

if you can still put in front slot and have maps function, that gives greater flexibility to the unit (i.e. - I can pop the maps out and use the front slot for music/video, etc, and simply drop the maps back in when/if I need them).
Even better, you don't have to pop the maps out, everything runs from the front slot. This is my setup, with a 32Gb SD.

The time is off my unit as well, I keep setting it to eastern standard time for florida and it keeps going back on hour, this is fixable I presume.

I have experienced something else with my unit that nobody else appears to have talked about, mostly at the beginning of a few songs when I start playing and then start driving the car the volume gets real faint and then comes back to normal, I think something in the new unit might not be jiving with the auto volume of my sync unit, anyone else experience this?

Also is there some kind of printed instructions some where on how to use the navigation part of the unit?

thet33, how difficult was removing top of dash, is there video/pics somewhere? I know OEMRadio has an install video [but I haven't watched whole thing yet].
Very easy. The top is just held with a couple of clips, pops right off then you can run the wire up and tape the antennae towards the front of the dash and you're done. Added maybe a couple of minutes to pop it off and is well worth it.

*Yes, it is also in OEMRadio install video in his thread. It was a great tip.

My time is set to central and has been working perfectly, strange that others are having issues. The only time my sound decreases is when I put the car in reverse or if the I'm using nav and it's giving me an audible instruction.

Many of the TomTop users would move their time zone an hour ahead so it would stay at the right time.

Lucky you. I set to Central time and it was off by like 8 hours. I ended up picking some random time zone that had the correct hour. But hey, as long as the time stays correct, I don't care what the time zone says in settings.

We will be getting an update to fix this issue. Not sure why it's happening as it hasn't in our test units with same software but either way we will be getting a software update out shortly!

Well I tried every setting in the world to get my time correct and it just won't do it, this needs to be fixed.

Here is my experience with the New screen upgrade. The screen is works great. it is smooth when going from one screen to the next. Nice Flow. But I have noticed a couple of things. First thing I noticed once installed was, I was no longer able to use siri voice command. (I have a 2016 Mustang GT BASE) Before you were able to hold the talk button and use siri like you normal would. Send TXT msg, Switch playlist, Open up music apps, Get direction and/or make phone calls. That I think was an amazing feature and it No longer works. You can't long press the talk button. Instead you just get the Ford Voice Rec. anyway. I really really hope they can fix that. That's my main issue. The other ones I can live with. The time thing. Yup mine does it to. Central time set. Manual adjust the time to the correct time. The next time you start it up its one hour behind. I don't know if it is something to do with Day lights saving or what. Easy fix I hope. Next is something small but ill point out. The USB plays video which is awesome. But so far It only plays MP4. In all fairness I've only tried two more type which was an .AVI file. It played but no sound and .MKV file which doesn't show up in the folder at all. The last thing I Noticed was the screen mirroring. I'm glad to say it works. lol At first I plugged it in and I wouldn't work right. Like that old Tv on analog that had bad reception. It full of static. But I played with the cable and looks like I didn't have it all the way plugged in. So after that it work beautifully.

In closing hopefully the Siri Hands free can be fix or addressed with a software update and if not I would definitely suggest letting 16+ Mustang owner know that they will lose that functionality.

Over all I still love it and would buy it again if I could do it over.

My volume goes faint when I engage reverse. Once I engage 1-6 it goes back to normal. I thought maybe it was a safety feature. Who knows.

I've tried that multiple times. No matter the time zone, it keeps shifting an hour. Thanks for the feedback though. Any ideas are always welcome.

I believe it is, my 4" base screen did the same thing I think. Gotta concentrate when backing so it works for me:)
