Ideal shift points with stock intake

What do you guys think the ideal shift point is on a 2015 GT PP car with a tune and stock intake. I am trying to figure out what would produce the best 1/4 time. I would guess around 6500. I am not sure where I am shifting my car when i run.

Mine are 6700-6800 with the 3.73 it drops me into 5100-5200 for the next gear .

Since you are one of the fastest I guess that is a good starting point. I would love to break 120 MPH.

Our stock manifolds are tuned for that rpm , running them up higher is just a big flat spot . Use the 3.73 to your advantage . My first to second is usually 64-6500 it winds up really quick . Second gear can easily carry you out of 49-5000 rpm .

Yea i think thats what my problem is,im running out way past 7k.I need to try shifting early,do u run 4th all the way out or go into 5th?

My fastest run datalogs usually show 1st to 6500 2nd to 67-6800 3rd 68-6900 and 4th through the lights 7k+ . 5th is way off compared to the 1-4 . Whenever I've tried 5th it lags

Ok cool,im going to shift a little earlier,looked at my dyno sheet and it really.starts to fall off after 6400.I didnt think anyone was going into 5th but i have a little shorter tire then u.I think mine are 27.4.

We need to get back to the track and practice. Maybe we can bust off some 11.7 or 11.6 with current mods. I am going to drop the pressure in my tires and shoot for low 1.6 60fts.

Silly question, is this true for the 3.55 auto's as well? Lund's FF tune has mine shifting at 7200 I believe.

Manual 3.73 and auto are going to fall into different rpms after the shift

I know they would like to be shifted differently but i would guess the auto would be the same or lower. 7200 seems high but who knows. I was wondering if the auto tunes were dialed in for best acceleration.

My last and quickest run last night was 5k launch 1-2@6500 then 6700 and 6900 . 11.17@121 . I think I still have to much wheelspin on the launch . But I'm still on stock suspension . A set of shocks should help keep the weight transfer at the back
