Installed a 2018 ported manifold and noticed that my IAT are running higher than normal. Right now as I’m in the car driving the ambient temp is 65 and my IAT is 95. Any reason the intake could cause this or is there another issue?

Did you install an open cold air intake at the same time? Are you only seeing a 30° differential in temperature at a stoplight or after driving for anextended period of time?

Have had the PMAS on for both intakes. If I stop at a stop light it will get to about 105-110. I’ve been driving for about 10 mins now and my IAT is 82 and it’s 63 out.

My IAT before even with the pMAS was always 10ish above ambient.

Interesting.... I’m pretty sure the MAF measures the IAT as well which is well ahead of the intake manifold.

You installed an open air element kit. It will draw in some of the heat from under the hood especially sitting at idle. It is designed for racing applications to create more air flow while moving. At idle IAT will always increase even with a closed box though not as much. If you are concerned about this and want lower overall IAT temps go back to a closed air unit. It's not a big concern on cars running N/A with little to no modifications. When you go FI then you can begin concerning yourself with IAT temps.

Correct. the MAF and IAT sensor are in one assembly and located just past the filter. ahead of the TB.
