Dumb thread. First it was about car issues now its about mortgage. What else did we forget to disclose? Guys remember the thread of the kid living at home make $700 month?
I am 59 years old, live at home, and make $700.00 a month...should I buy a new car? (just for you Twenty15) :frusty: LOL

At this point, I would wait for 2016 MY to see how Ford answers the 2016 Camaro and also the new Sync 3.

NEED time to apply for mortgage ,find house and close before I apply for auto loan
I too echo what the folks here have said with regards to get your mortgage loan approved first and once you've closed on the home, then apply for that new vehicle loan! I can tell you from recent homeowner purchasing experience that the process for any mortgage application has dramatically changed for the worst since the 2005 Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac housing bubble burst and you do NOT need ANY large credit purchase items interfering with your ability to secure a mortgage!

DO NOT get a vehicle loan before you pop on a house.

Actually it changed for the better to prevent that again. Banks where handing out loans like candy to people who couldn't afford the home (interst only loans, etc). The market was so falsely inflated. Yeah, sucks for people who want a 1/2 mill home and can only afford a 90k home but it sure protects the market in the end.

But alas, that's a whole other topic lol.

But yes, do not get an auto loan until after your mortgage is done and signed off on.

Well, I picked car up two weeks ago and plan to close this coming Friday - found the house we wanted after in ordered the car and really didn't want to give it up... Just flat out told the mortgage guy I will be picking car up so he knew up front.

Agreed...totally right SVTFreak, just meant the process now is so long, convoluted, and personally invasive to one's personal privacy that it makes home ownership exceedingly hard even with stellar credit

I can afford it
Bad panels, squeaky breaks ,among other things is what's making me hesitant.
Oh you're right i forgot to mention that I am applying for a mortgage soon. :headbonk:
Get the mortgage before you sign for the car loan. It's easier that way.
