4 years and I knew these were close to cording. I let it go a little too long for sure. Dont have the exact mileage, I switch wheel sets a lot. On the odo it was 31k so its probably 5k less than that. Over 3 deg of front camber and 2deg rear.

luckily, I have some (even balder, but not nearly corded) 200tw tires to run for a few days while I wait for a new set to ship.

even though its winter and Wisconsin I think I’m going to throw another set of summers on and park it for a few months, daily the truck.

man, thats so far on the edge I wonder if it could have been the toe setting and not so much the camber?

its a Michellin thing. All the MP4S and MPSS seem to do it. My toe gets checked regularly.

They’re just very thin rubber at that spot, I think its probably engineered into the tire, or its a combination of the design and the Ford’s strut front suspension. The rears run the most toe and they dont wear that spot nearly as badly as the fronts.

Somewhere there's a guy worried to rev it over 5K because he thinks the car will just fall apart. This is how a Mustang was meant to be driven!
to be fair, these were very dangerous in light rain with them worn through like this. Car was squirming all over at highway speeds. I had to slow down quite a bit. I was trying to hold out until the car went into storage for the winter. You’re not even really supposed to drive them below freezing and I’ve been using them a bit on 20 degree days to try to last until my daily is back.

ironically the bald Yokohama A052s are ok down to 14*F (according to Yokohama) which is pretty cold for a summer tire, although they do say performace drops off below 45.
