So, even though my heart told me that I've had enough of car dealerships' antics with bs markups and whatnot, and I was heavily leaning towards a c7 z51, I said "bleh, fuck it, I'll try one last time" and I found a dealer in PA that has the same exact car that I had ordered before.

Bearing any unforeseen circumstances, I should be the proud owner of a Kona Blue.... It has the BEST possible serial number (for those that understand it) 1337/1964!!!!

lol thanks I'm just glad you found another Kona baby. People give you a hard time but we're all stressed on here. Literally I haven't been this happy and stress free in 6 months. Keep us updated on your progress!

My stress levels went through the roof when the dealer tried to back out of our written agreement. They went back to normal when the owner decided to make it right and I was able to get my car!

Congrats, glad you found one. Please remain calm, but 1337 is not due to be built until next week. Maybe he meant that it was being built by the 6th. Please get a signed purchase order as soon as you can to prevent another heartbreak.

I saw that... According to the window sticker, the blend date says Dec 3rd. I was baffled when he said, "oh it's supposed to be here next week" and I asked him if we were talking about the same car and he said yeah.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and will indeed get a signed purchase order. I asked them for an email confirmation of my $500 deposit and stating that the sale price is indeed $48,190..
