Ride or rode?
have. as in sitting in my warehouse of schtuff.

'Ride' is somewhat nebulous ATM. I plan to have at least half of those back up and running this summer. Till I tore the lower tendon off my kneecap in a freak accident, I rode 340 days a year for 15+ years.

Damn you guys are putting me to shame ... I had 3 at 1 time but just 2 now as really don't have the room and insurance is nuts up here.

apparently "properly" in German Webster's is defined as, design a part with 5x more complexity and cost when a $10 one will never break and if it does, takes 5 minutes to replace.

And put timing and cam chains on the backside of a motor so it's a complete engine+trans-out to do "routine" maintenance. And also not bother to notice that DI-only fueling causes massive carbon build-up and have the owner need to walnut the heads every 40,000 miles.

I swear German engineers are rewarded on how convoluted and pointlessly complicated they can make parts and service procedures.
As much as I enjoy driving German cars and the quality that goes in them, some of their mechanical systems and designs are way too complicated. You should see Mercedes ABC system, that's the ultimate in insanity. But, walnut blasting the heads is not needed at 40k miles in any current BMWs. .

Which motorcycles do you ride ?
My Current 2 wheel herd. Love them all. Each has its charms and purpose, but if I had to go to 2-3 it would be the XS11, Norge and Stornello. Then again not sure I could part with the Convert or GRiSO 🤣🤣🤣

Agreed. This is one area where Porsche is a bit different. Very accessable and easy to work on compared to other Euro cars, especially Merc & BMW. I can't change the spark plugs on my wife's Mercedes due to turbo plumbing and how it is ported into the valve cover and intake manifold. Totally ridiculous.

Even access is relatively easy on the rear and mid engined P cars. Having a lift is a good thing though. 😜

That said, service on the Bullitt is DEAD simple.... And much more 'wallet friendly'
