I believe the owners manual says 87 is fine for a GT...your car, your cash, your decision! 😀
I've only been putting in BP 93 octane.....please don't judge me
Hello; Back many years ago my mother was putting 93 octane in a family sedan designed to run on regular. I pointed out she did not need the extra octane. Her response was she wanted the best gas and was willing to pay to get it. I shut up.

I get some on here want max HP and are willing to spend. Go for it. Others are fine with the lower HP as they do not even use all which is available on 87.

i was like no man, regular, it’s already 3.35 a gallon 🤣🤣🤣
That’s cute ☺

I filled up with regular twice when sheeps were going crazy with the gas shortage. It ran just fine. Filled up two days ago driving from Tennessee at $56 … No worries. 😃

It s my first Ford in decades and I think it s cool that they have to ability to run on 87 fuel when wanted and then 91-93 for an additional few HP When you want it. Not damaging the engine with 87 is a plus in my book.

Ok, so let's say 150 miles a week? That's filling up ever 2 weeks or so. If you save $6 per fillup, you'll be saving a whole $12 a month going 87 vs. 93.

What will you do with all that money? Make it rain quarters at the local titty bar?
hells yeah

nice! full fill up $56? gotta love having a small tank; psychologically filling up a full tank makes me feel better 🤣

Your engine is a 12:01 Compression Ratio and by every racing means is considered a high performance engine which needs the highest Octane to prevent Knock. That's just how it goes when buying a High performance Engine. Good Luck.

wow then between you and EFI, starting to question my decisions 🤔 but that wasn’t a full tank though, like 16 gallons, was it? because if so then damn. then again it may be cheaper by you. 3.79 here for mid grade at wawa, which i believe they only go up to 91 there, not 93.

I was almost on empty before I filled up. I believe between 25-30 miles left on empty. Not quite sure.

This brings up a question that I don't know the answer to. If I have a 91/93 tune from Lund and put in 87 will anything bad happen or will the tune adjust?
