I finally pulled the trigger on ordering the BMC version of the roush spoiler with the cut out for convertibles.

Checked on my order progress today and it said it had been canceled. I emailed BMC and a nice man called Bruno emailed me back stating that there is a "private label" restriction on the mold at the moment and that there is no ETA on a removal.

I don't even know what that means, but I am pretty disappointed, as this is the only spoiler that I actually like for the convertible. The genuine Roush one does not work because it does not have the cut out for the third brake light.

To make me feel better, show me photos of puppies and kittens or something... or better yet, spoilers that look really good on a convertible... or something. I'm depending on YOU, internet.

Perhaps you could buy the Roush spoiler, and then buy an Xlume illuminated "pony" to use as your third brake light? www.x-lume.com have a look

Based on what they called the restriction, it sounds like they are selling someone else's spoiler under their name and the maker has a hold to make them the temporary sole source of the spoiler. So if you search, you might find the spoiler for sale with a different brand name.

I'll check that out, thanks. I would also have to figure out what to do with the current third brake light, which would be only partially covered by the roush spoiler. I was also thinking I could use the reverse light as a third brake light, as some have done. I think legally, the center brake light must be located above the outside two. I'll check into that.

I've been looking. I am wondering if Roush is actually giving them a hard time. They are, in all fairness, marketing to a different crowd, considering the third brake light cutout that only helps convertibles. Maybe you're right. I'll keep looking around.

BAHAHAHAHA!!

Anyone seen a photo of the Steeda Q-Series spoiler on a convertible? I like that one, but the shape of the trunk is different on the convertible and coupe... I can only find photos of it on coupes.

I have this on my hard top and it improves the look of the car massively. Side on it improves the smooth flowing lines of the car and from the back it makes it look mean as f**k. Was worried about looking ricer by adding a spoiler but this is perfect. Added profile but not too much.

i just checked Dallas Automotive Restyling for FG-626.

No longer listed. I bet Roush got on their asses and they can't sell it anymore. That's your private label restriction. I may very well have one of the only ones ever made.

Glad I got mine early this year.
