I know everyone has their opinions on the front howler badges, but there’s other places you can roast them if you aren’t a fan haha.

My 2019 GT PP has the active grille shutters, therefore isn’t as easy as removing the hood latch and installing the howler badge. Anyone have any luck going underneath the car or have any other way to install rather than removing the front bumper?

GT doesn't have shutters. 2018+ GT's have additional cowling above the radiator that make it much harder to reach down to the grill compared to 15-17's. Most people (myself included) run into this when trying to swap the pony.

Pretty sure mine has the shutters, I'll have to double check on that in the morning. Not sure what else they would be given they're behind the grille but in front of the radiator

I did the install on my 2019 and yes the shutters make it difficult but it can be done.

Subbing to this thread. I have a 19 GT PP2 and thought active shutters were just on the Ecoboost models.
Going back on-topic, I literally just got my howler badge delivered this morning.

The active shutters are not on the pp1 or 2 due to large radiator. The standard gt has them.
Well that makes sense. Thanks for pointing that out!

One of the few upsides of having small hands was that I was able to install my badge, initially, without taking the entire bumper off.

I would try to have a magnetic retrieval tool or something similar in case you drop one the bolts in the process but you might be able to stick your finger in the little gap revealed by the removal the bumper cover and get the bolt started. From there you should be able to hand tighten it from the front of the grille. As long as it's hand tight it won't go anywhere, trust me. I had mine on for almost six months with no issues in regards to loosening.

Are you adding it to the stock grille with the mustang logo? I sure hope not. I removed the stock grille and added an aftermarket one before I added my coyote badge. While I was in there I removed the active shutters to pretty it up.

Adding the howler badge with the mustang logo on the grill is tacky imo. :)

My 19 GT PP1 does not... OP has an oddity. PP1 cars did not come with active shutters due to clearance issues with the bigger radiator as far as I know.
