I am wondering how to unplug the downstream O2 sensor from the electrical side (as opposed to the side that goes into the downpipe)?

I tried putting in the o2 sensor itself and disconnecting from the pipe only but the wires end up getting tangled.

Is it the same as the upstream o2 sensor? The plug looks quite different.

Upstream and downstream have different connectors so you don't swap them.
The downstream has the connector right on the side of the tranny.

Unplug before you remove, or you will twist the wires to the point of breaking.

Yeah I figured they were different. Right now, I just plugged it in and tried to minimally tangle the wires as much as possible just to get the sensor in the cat. I'm getting the p0054 and p0141 codes but they were before I even put the stock downpipe back on. When I get off work, I'll try to find the part where the O2 sensor connects by the trans and try reduce the tangling on itself. I'll also check the fuse.

I took it to Ford and they won't touch it since they could tell I've done work. I reset the codes and they came back. I'm thinking it's a bad o2 sensor.

What do you think about this?

Thanks! I have an L shaped defouler/extender. Would that work as well? I'm slightly confused because the stock downpipe shouldn't need a defouler, should it?

The Ford Tech was telling me the threads are all messed up on the downstream o2 sensor and he somehow knew I had an O2 extender on.

You shouldn't need it on the stock pipe as the factory Cat chokes the flow.

Extender would only be needed on the aftermarket high flow cat.

I got sensors not ready for the 02 and 02 heater. ( = emissions fail)

Spacer did the trick.

I have a catted MBRP 3" downpipe.
