How to remove driver's side kick panel?

Just like the title says - anybody got a clue how to get the driver's side kick panel off? It's got the hood release attached to it and I'm kind of afraid to just yank it.

I've Got EVERY other piece of trim out of the car at this point

Answer:

Pull the small cap off the hood latch release. Motorcraft says there is a screw deep inside the handle. Nope, it's incorrect. Around the shaft that it fits on, there are two tabs - squeeze them in and the handle pops off.

After the handle is off, the panel removes easily - Near the firewall, pull out to release a push in pin, then at the door frame, just pull it straight back towards the rear until the two pressure tabs release.
