How long does shipping generally take?

I'm waiting on a 2020 GT500. Unfortunately my salesman has not been very helpful with providing me updates through this entire process. Which results to me constantly checking in with Ford customer service for updates. It was shipped and listed 'In Transit' about 10 days ago. It has made it from Flat Rock to Pennsylvania ( About 20 miles from the actual dealer, but I think passing through a rail yard ). I am being told an ETA of November 8th.

If it's SO CLOSE... Why is the date still so far?
Does Ford give lengthy arrival dates to give themselves a cushion? I'm assuming there's a good chance it will arrive before that, especially since it's so close.
Would love to hear some insight on shipping and past experiences with receiving your Mustang. Naturally, I am very excited!

It's on a car transporter with multiple vehicles so they hit different destinations along the way. It's kind of like a bus route. It's a bit lengthy with multiple stops but more convenient for them.

I know there's a large offload railyard in North NJ ( about 70 miles from it's last reported location ) and I am hoping the logistics team doesn't have it pass by the area it needs to go to just to be offloaded 70 miles away and then trucked back.

33 days from order to delivery for me, but my dealer is only 70 miles from Flat Rock.
