I hope y'all don't get too upset by it taking a few days longer than YOU think it should. I'd rather have the factory take the extra time to make better final adjustments, paint inspection, etc., than to rush it out so I can spend my days getting it all corrected after I receive the car. In 2017 my car was finally finished then sat on one Ford shipping lot for a couple of weeks, moved to another lot for a few more weeks awaiting a train heading my way. Then I tracked the train car (using the train car number) and it took several more days to finally arrive at my town. The rail car did spend a couple of days in one town, I assume awaiting the correct train to get to me. Once it arrived at the rail head in my town it took several more days to get a car carrier to deliver it to my dealer. And yes, I followed it all the way from the rail head to my dealer. I didn't mean to, it just happened that way (wink, wink). Keep your pants on and your fingers crossed until it arrives. Then hope it sustained NO damage in transit.

I found how to call a certain AMTRAC (I think it was AMTRAC) automated phone number, when it answered you would say the rail car number and it would tell you the location of that rail car. I found the rail car number from some link on Mustang 6G, perhaps on the shipping documents available to you on-line.

How do I track my car if it’s on a train? (This information has been provided from forum user HalfMoon) You need to get your rail car number (also often called an "ETTX" number) from your dealer. This can actually start with "ETTX", or it may not.

Once you have that number you can track it via the phone:

CSX:

1. Call CSX at 1 800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press 1 on your phone for location
3. When prompted for the car initials, say them and wait
4. When prompted for the 6-digit car number, say or key-in your 6 digit car number
5. When prompted for the next car, either say 'Done' or press the pound sign (#) twice

Union Pacific:
1. Call UP at 1 800-877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the rail car number completely and clearly. Example CNA704103 all together
4. Listen for your update

Only one may track your rail car or both from what I have read. In HalfMoon’s car both were updated and gave slightly different information at different parts of the journey so he used both.

How do track my car if it’s on a semi? As far as I know the only way to do this would be to contact the dealer (Rachel may or may not have this information). If you have any information to add please reply to this thread and contribute.

Dealer just called me...it’s here...I’ll be taking delivery on Monday. So my order was placed Dec27 and now sits on the dealer lot on March 19. Estimated arrival date was April 7th. They lied

Awesome! I'm starting to wonder if mine is showing up early now too since we are pretty much neighbors and had near blend dates. Do you know if yours went CSX Rail?

I found out from my dealer today the car is off the rail and being loaded on a trailer..damn I think I'm going to be early as well
