Hey everyone I m starting to get very impatient since I ordered my car over 4 months ago.I been checking the vins on the 3 cars my dealer has coming in. Mine n another one we're built the first day n they have one that was built last week n has a eta of Oct 15th. I called the dealer today because I really need a car n the general manager found out the car is in quality control which I assume is the inspection for first batch of cars? How long does this take n do you think I 'll have the car by 15th with other one

QC can take 1-2 months it's FILO (first in last out) so the earlier in Job 1 your car was built the longer it will take to get through QC. Also Ford can randomly select vehicles for engineering drives and they drive these vehicles up to 2000 miles(typically much less). This applies only to vehicles that were ordered as stock units.

Now wouldn't that suck for those of us with stock orders! "Hey, your car arrived at the dealership! It's ready for its first oil change and it needs new rear tires!"

Ford will deliver the vehicle with brand new "wearable" components and fluids but think of it this way, now your vehicle has been signed off personally as being ready to sell by a Ford Engineer!

I check in all our new cars and we've never had a car delivered with 2000 miles. I've never gotten one with 100 miles even.

When I was checking out the first 2013 Track Pack GTs at the dealer where I ordered my Boss, their Race Red GT was pulled for QC. It had a documented 89 miles on it per FoMoCo. No idea how long the testing caused a delay in shipping, but it was under 100 miles on a regular dealer stock order.
