Same, they beef up the transmissions so people won't break them and its harder to shift because of it. Thats my theory at least, more robust and harder to shift.

change fluid to BG Synchroshift II, Redline MTL, or Royal Purple Synchromax. Gets noticeably smoother, less notchy, and reduced shifting effort. Will be combining this with an MGW shifter soon (arrived today)

I haven't done the trans fluid swap yep but the Steeda trans bushing has helped some.

My shifter arrived this week, but don't have time this week to get it installed. Getting it installed next Saturday, I will post some feedback. Also doing RP transmission fluid swap

The latest issue of "Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords" magazine had an article on a clutch swap with MT-82 Tranny and in the article the author discussed a tranny fluid swap with AMSOIL. Apparantly the author has a lot of experience with the MT-82 Getrag and he swears by AMSOIL as an excellent "fix" for tranny "nibbling" woes as well as cold shift problems. The other fluids mentioned are equally as good (I replaced my fluid with Motorcraft QDC with XL18 additive as recommended due to the cold temperatures i'm subjected to up in the Northeast and it's worked well so far)

I can shift mine with 2 fingers with clutch except for 5th & 6th. 3,000 miles and no fluid change. Speed shifting without clutch have use my whole hand can not shift to 5th without clutch. The shifter does feel a little sloppy it has about the same play as my Spitfire. When I raced Motocross I used AMSOIL premix and in the gear box it is a very good product.
