I would have thought that you could see the wing on a CFTP vehicle with the trunk open but nothing is visible that I can see but there is definitely something on the trailing edge. And, I suppose it's possible that the wing hasn't been installed yet but that doesn't explain the part on the trailing edge of the trunk lid.

I also don't know if you could tell from the looks of the trunk interior which car it is. But odds are, Ford didn't increase the trunk space with rear seat delete so that may not be a clue either.

Still, like Mel, I would have bet a lot of money that CJ wanted a two-seater.

Why do you think it’s a base model?

I would suggest that his car will in fact have the CFTP option as from what I can tell these are pictures of his car going down the FR assembly line prior to getting even close to the Mod Shop where the rear seat delete, CF wheels and CF wing get installed.

To me those wheels with the Green paint sprayed around the wheel lug nut area definitely signifies that this car is going to the Mod Shop to have the CFTP option installed.

All cars with those painted wheel centers including R models signify that these cars are headed for the Mod Shop.

His car will definitely be a CFTP optioned car.

Interesting. Since your pic shows wheels with different colored centers on the same car, does that mean Ford has a bunch of wheels they keep reusing. Even if, still curious they aren't all the same color. Wonder if Ford eventually sells the center sprayed wheels for cheap.

Yes, once the R model and now the CFTP cars get to the Mod Shop these wheels are removed and then returned to the FRAP for reuse.

Can't imagine Ford selling these wheels and tires at this time due to R's and CFTP cars going down the line together but possibly might be for sale in the future.
