they also have long tubes. its weird cause I had to do a search on their site to find them, but you can also get a link off google.
Very interesting design. Thanks for the links! These 'look' like their tube lengths are more similar in length than either BBK or Hooker. But strangely, they say NOT legal for California. I wonder why that is? Anyone hear if Mac has made any horsepower statements for their shorties?

Vnzbd,
Thanks for posting the excellent review of the BBK shorties. More information is always good!

Not 100% sure but I don't think any aftermarket headers are legal in CA. That being said neither is a CAI, loud exhaust, tune or pretty much anything else fun. As long as you stay lowkey you should be fine with the law and for smog any car will pass, just need a willing shop ;)

Edit: I was wrong, the BBK headers are carb certified so they are 50 state legal, I guess the hooker system doesn't have the carb certification.

Maybe Mac just has not bothered to go thru the application process for CARB certification, as I cannot see why they (or Hooker) would get a different ruling than BBK. The bottom line with a shorty is that it does not modify or affect the catalytic converters, I believe.

I installed the BBK ceramic headers on my daughter's 2012V6. Install wasn't bad. Only two bolts are tedious - get the right tools. The install was over 2 years ago. Just to compare, I installed longtubes and cams on a 2000GT. I also got the BBK ceramic headers for about $310.

Can't be too different for the 2015. The Hookers look very easy to install and the SS is very nice.
