Installed the Ford Racing struts today. I preferred the OEM look they offered. Didn't have to modify anything to fit them to our car.
David I have the Ford Racing Struts also however have yet to fit them. I remember reading on another thread that you had to cut a 1 inch hole in the battery cover. I take it that is not the case.

No you definitely do need to mate. To allow the bracket to poke through on the right side of the car as you are looking at it from the front. Or you can out a section like a few other people have so that you don't need to disconnect the bracket to take the battery cover off in the future.

^^^^ Nice job David.

I also have a set which I have yet to fit.

Just wondering if you can comment on what it's like to close the bonnet with these fitted?

Cheers.

No real difference. Once it's passed a certain point the brackets want to close it. And if you've closed the bonnet a couple of times you are aware it needs a bit of a drop to actually close properly. Works fine with these brackets.

Did you make sure to put the right one in the right side? The one with the 2 pins goes in the passenger side. Mine didn't spin at all.
yeah 100% made sure it was correct, when i mean spin i meant maybe a quarter turn and then locked down, its working fine so im happy :-)

I have the redline strut kit, There was no need to modify the kit at all. The install was relatively painless, the installation of the brackets in the engine bay was a bit fiddly, but the whole install only took half an hour to install.

I think I will go with the Redline. I like the bigger surface area of the brackets compared to the Ford Performance.

Are these the ones that you purchased?
