hood flexing while driving at 60+ mph

I installed the Red Line struts and love 'em. But they do not have an effect on the problem in this thread.

Love my hood with the indicators, well cool,
and for me my S197 was higher with a big scoop

S197 was higher and the seats went lower in the car. I cant get the driver seat as low in the S550s.

Mine shakes, only in the middle near the windshield...bumpers are adjusted, hood struts mounted.. No impact..shakes the same as day one

I'm wondering if the hood flex/vibration at speed is due to the top and bottom halves of the hood not being bonded correctly. Some guys don't have any noticeable hood shake/movement even and very high speeds, but others have it even as low as 60~70 MPH. :shrug:

I adjusted the rubber bump stops like suggested and I no longer get the flex at high speed. I still get a bit of up & down movement but only on bumpy roads. If the road was glass smooth I think the hood would not move.

Try the bump stops again almost to the point where you can't push the hood down closed ... I now just drop mine from a foot or so high.
