Someone said on my local fb group that if you remove the liner, the hood will start getting really hot and paint will start cracking because our hood is made of alumunium.
The insulation is there to put out an engine fire.

It helps to have a second person to get it started that's about it. Super easy to install compared to some of the other tint I applied to my lenses. What color did you get?

I got from The Anchor Room back in February. Easy mod and adds a nice touch under the hood.
Do you happen to have a link? I can't find it on their site.

Didn't see them either. Shoot them an e-mail or give them a call. I'm sure they will hook you up. I'm local to them, called and picked it up the next day.

Didn't see it on the website either, but emailed and asked if I could order them. They sent me the prices and I paid through Pay Pal.

Yah it's not on the website. As said I emailed Jason Anchor Room as a shot in the dark and he responded with a yes I have a template for that. He has had it on his car for 2 years without any issues. I've had it on mine for a week and have not seen any issues with it either. Great Mod IMO. Looks good with and without the oval.

A few weeks back I took my hood liner out to installed a set of gloss black hood vents and found a hidden surprise. I had no idea there was a running pony stamped into the underside of the hood. The first thought that came to my mind was to ask my vinyl guy if he could inlay some gloss black vinyl. He told me he could but he wasn't to confident on the lines looking clean. So I gave up on it. Fast forward a few weeks and I order some coil cover inlay vinyl from Anchor Room. In a shot in the dark I sent an email asking if they had a template for the under hood pony. To my surprise he said yes. I couldn't send the funds fast enough and two days later the vinyl showed up. I'm really happy with the way this looks and I'm sure it will make the car stand out at car shows.
So I actually emailed him over 3 months ago and got the same Pony decal and I was the first one to ask him about the oval part.and have it made .. I have been so super busy with other projects I never got a chance to put it on glad to see it finally done another car..looks great !!... also if you're interested I had them makeup templates and cut me gloss black vinyl for the tops of the headlights when you opened it as a light does not come in again I have not got a chance to put them on but looking forward to it.

Nice job under the hood, good application of less-is-more, especially with a red car - looks like you painted /PC'ed your strut tower brace, that looks awesome!

That looks great.

Think I may do it to mine. It should stand out nicely on Oxford White. :D
