I'm trying to figure out what rear end gears are in my car. I've been looking around but not sure if anything changes in 2023. I have a 23 GT base model. The dealer had it optioned with some things but not sure if gears was one of them. My Father albeit his 15 has a lot of mods and is tuned feels so insanely faster and just snaps my neck back where as mine hardly does that in second at 4K RPM.

My car mods:
H Pipe
License plate cover šŸ˜‚

15 mods:
GT 350 manifold, injectors, clutch, axles, taller tires/wheels, 3.73 gears, intake, Lund tune, LT headers with full exhaust, all the suspension bits, etc

He also has the pedal sensitivity thing. But even when both cars are not in any extra mode just snapping the throttle is so different. I know I'm answering a little my own questions here and I know why it's faster and feels different. Guess my main question I'm just trying to figure out what gears are in my car and I also heard that gears are not equivalent when compared to the 2015 to 2017 to 2018 plus. Is it true that a 373 in 2015 is more comparable to a 410 and a 2018? I think my next mod is going to be gears. I'm not too concerned about any of the highway RPMs etc. I work from home. Thanks for listening to my rambling. I just want to keep up to my dad's car :-)

I forgot to mention that I bought the premium head unit package so I'll end up with track mode as soon which will help a bit.

If you had 4.09s you’d be able to tell immediately. You’d be pegged out on a wot pull your first 3 gears. Here’s a small vid of an 18 with 4.09s

Throw some 4.88’s in there and I’ll bet you’ll be very happy. I sure wish I had some in mine. I currently have 3.73s and mine and it seems really sluggish down low.

Dang 4.88? That seems crazy haha. I've been watching a lot of videos of races between comparable cars with different gears. When doing any type of roll racing it doesn't seem to make any difference between 3.15 all the way up to 3.73. it seems way snappier in responsive but not necessarily faster when roll racing.

You can also buy a preloaded differential with a 3.73 gear and swap out diffs. Maybe even see if someone here on the forum would be willing to swap with you and save big time.
