If you're going to dump it, why not find a used B302 or something? At least you wouldn't eat as much for depreciation and you'd have a fun drive in the mean time.
This may be where I don't make sense a bit. I have what I feel is a pretty irrational appreciation for independent suspension and I just don't care for the looks of any Mustangs before the new one. The dealer I ordered mine from has had a loaded 2014 Premium GT on the lot for more than 6 months now that I could pick up for less than my base GT but I just can't swallow the looks. I'd absolutely love a 64-69 but I've had a muscle car so now I just want something more refined and reliable.

Who cares if you drive a truck for another year?

...what's another month or so in the grand scheme of things?

...will the bad taste ever leave your mouth? You have had a terrible experience thus far; will you ever look at the car without seeing a ton of flaws?
Oh, I will always have my H1; I love it more than anything I've ever had, but I feel the need for something more comfortable. I like to take road trips and go for drives and it just isn't the vehicle for it! Although, snowstorms in the winter are an absolute blast!!

And I can agree. The reality of it is 3 more weeks is not terrible and I'm sure it would be a lot easier with some mediocre customer service. Hell, I got off the phone with customer service yesterday afternoon again after I was told I can't get another coupon and that my car was "surely set for a Dec 31st delivery," only to receive more disappointment today.

I know I will dread ever ordering a car again. Surely it won't be from Ford and if I opt to order a C7, I will place the order at least 4 months before I return to the States, just hope Chevrolet's process is a bit better...I am told 6-14 weeks. I feel like I'll still be able to enjoy my car plenty, but I certainly won't be able to recommend it to anyone and I won't hesitate talking about my experience...that is if mine does, indeed, show up with out a ton of miles, panel fitment issues, or any other problems.

Thanks for sharing all of your ideas

I was told 8-12 weeks and it looks like mine will hit 8 weeks almost on the nose. I think the thing to learn here is to wait for the second round of orders or at least until the manufacturing has begun before ordering :D

I agree.

I was told "60-120 days, just in case" which is more than 17 weeks, and I blasted that. Sitting at 22 weeks right now and it will be 25 by the time it gets here.

175 days. :frusty:

Yeh 22 weeks is beyond ridiculous. 8-12 ok, but 22?

Have you PMed FordService here? She can escalate it to people higher up in Ford and they can get the car moving if it hasn't already.

You could always sign for the car the 5th and actually take delivery the 12th (or a few days earlier since COTUS is not always accurate) to get the rebates if your dealer is ok with that.

Taylor,

the car I originally ordered is in the same boat as yours. I ordered the same day you did and the vehicle is now in transit even though it was built on 11/6/14.

I was partly blaming on the fact that I live in a terrible part of the country, but seeing that you're in Florida, wtf gives?! There are tons of Mustangs down there. Doesn't make sense. Sucks. But anyways, good luck with your car!

You would think but there's really not. I have only seen 5 on the road to date.
