Help - Did something stupid...(Touchless Car Wash)

+1 to that (me).
Went through a touchless with the underspray and while sat there getting washed the car had a slight drop in RPM. Didn’t think much of it until on the way home I noticed on decel AFR was stuck at 9.8. Babied it the rest of the way home and pulled the code, got P0132. Crossed my fingers and gave it an hour before firing back up. Code cleared itself and AFR was back moving. No issues since, but I have since cancelled the membership. Got lucky.

That fits... checking that next. TY

How long was your car parked on the ant hill?
Hopefully you can get them out ASAP.

I would do the Borax with sugar.
Diatomaceous earth works well too. I had some small ant hills on my lawn and I notice less activity. Once a couple or more get the stuff on them, they bring it back to the nest and kills them all off.

Unfortunately about 24hrs... The majority are gone...WD-40 really works They were covering the door frame...but now its just a few here and there. Getting borax in the am... TY

Another thing: I note you have over-the-top stripes, like I do. When I used touchless car washes, the high pressure nozzled water jets started stripping off the edges of the vinyl striping and I had to replace them - at a cost of $500 for OEM stripes. I never, never use touchless car washes anymore.

Damn..i didnt even think about stripes... got lucky. Sorry to hear that though.

Hey all - been awhile... Car still doing good. Added a tune and am loving it. However...I parked on top of an ant hill...and am trying to get rid of them now. Someone suggested to go to touch less car wash to get the scent off car. Well like a moron I did. During the wash it was ok. Pulling out we saw water pouring into the passenger floor down the firewall. It has never done this, but this is first time i tried touchless. Is this just a clogged drain or too much pressure?

...Got as much out as i could and it has not leaked since, even in heavy rain. Thanks all! Ideas?

For the ants, I agree with the diatomaceous earth. That has worked pretty well in my yard, and in my house for the time we had fleas a few years ago.

As for the leak, I might not go back to that car wash,

...But this kind of leak would make me really mad at Ford.
I use a touchless car wash every couple of weeks and don't have leaks of any kind.
The one I use sounds like a hard rain on the outside of the car, and if a car leaked for that it could be quite a problem in Virginia.

If I thought a little undercarriage spray could screw with my electrical components, then I'd also worry about whether I could drive through standing water. We get a lot of that where I work, because the shipyard is close to the water level and, as a bonus, the shitty local roads don't drain well.

I have a (small) leak like this in my 1980 Datsun because it's old as f*** and the windshield seal is no longer sealed at one corner.
So, if I suddenly had this problem in my 2020 Mustang I'd suspect a broken seal and, since I'm not a mechanic, I'd be paying a mechanic to figure out which seal it was and how to fix it.

Def not going back... Now that I think about it I have had similar issues with puddles and the AC... Ugh. If this was not the amazing car it is id sell... haha never not having one again!

Touchless wash pressure is high enough to peel paint from the edges of things like your side mirrors. I do not recommend!

rear diff fluid is cheap with such a small amount. it s almost as easy to change it as to check it. I did mine at 5 years 20K miles.... cost a few buck doing it myself.

Well to cerbomarks credit, rear diff fluid would probably kill the ants if applied liberally to the interior surfaces.
