I may have missed this in the OP - who fitted the Anderson items for you?
JW Racing... They'd already done their own car plus the parts prices were good (see their website) and delivery was 2-3 weeks for the parts. They're v responsive but I think the main guy Jason is on holiday now until early July, just so you're aware if you contact them.

We can supply and fit Anderson parts for you too - we are an Anderson Composites Dealer.

Obviously prices (as for all US parts) have gone up a touch since last week...

Thanks Gibbo - just checked out JDMs site. That package makes for an interesting alternative option to an SC. Around $2,000 to $2,500 plus cost of headers and fitting etc as far as I can see.

I guess there's also the option of stage 1 whipple for around 640-650 bhp without the throttle body etc. Wonder if replacing the OPG and other bits would still be needed if only stage 1.

You're right about noise on track of course. I'll be having my stock exhaust put back on for track days. Even with just the axle backs I had a db reading of 104 recently (took the Mustang on an airfield 'car control' tuition day thing) athough was surprised at that reading - I may have been too heavy on the throttle during the test

Headers are great because they give you great power increases NA and even more so when you fit an SC as they improve efficiency of the whole engine, especially with a blower strapped on.

Whipple stage 1 is around 640-660BHP yes, with headers that will be over 700+. :)

On the JDM kit, I personally would just buy the 350 IM, think you can get it for $900ish and I'd use the stock throttlebody, then pick a CAI, PMAS looks good but I know JDM have 350 CAI, JLT, Airaid all dialed in so get that with their tune and it should be all delivered for under $2000. :)

The only reason I held off the 350 IM is some owners report of a low-down torque loss which makes sense when your shifting peak power 1000rpm higher and I love the torque our cars have, but I personally feel headers thrown into the combination and you would then have more torque everywhere even with 350 IM. But on a track car you are really never under 4500-5500rpm anyway and it is in the 5500-7500rpm region where the 350 IM absolutely shines.

I like supercharger idea because 700BHP with around 600lb/ft is crazy power and that Whipple whine is totally amazing and of course with Whipple flight control you can reduce power in lower gears to prevent drive issues (wheel spin) and of course protect the gear box.

Upto you but if you do a lot of track days, well we all know on track less weight is better and great breaks can easily make up for 100BHP.

I have embarrased some serious stuff on track in my M3, stuff like 600+ horsepower GTR's, Lambo's, Ferrari's etc, because 400BHP in something that weighs 1250kg with short gearing and such power brakes is one hell of a package.

What I like about the Mustang, particular on track is the grip levels are huge due to how wide it is, the S550 chassis is actually very good and even stock works well on track and your car will be simply superb with the KW's and track oriented alignment setup. :)

Wow you certainly have been busy with your car Ben! Looks great and very individual which is a good thing. Welcome to the forum and look forward to more updates. I have been looking at the AC carbon rear diffuser but was a little put off by the modification required to the back bumper. By the sounds of things it's not too bad. Good work mate

how did you go about painting the calipers I've been wanting to do mine but I'm split on the best way to do it? every option seems like a bit of a pain

I'm going to be taking my calipers off and spraying them, few layers of primer and then few layers of paint followed by a few layers of lacquer, should be good...

Might have to clean them first just because prep is everything with things like that.

Happy for anubis to give us another way.

Seen guides online to leave them on the car, but that's just a nuisance!

yeah leaving them on is a nuisance but taking them of you have to bleed them all again, either way is a pain, i was surprised that red calipers wasn't an option, they offer it on all the ST ranges

Oh fk, I forgot about having to bleed them... That'll be a ball ache... Suppose I'm bin lining the discs... Fortunatley only spraying mine black.

Don't even think the US guys get painted calipers as an option (haven't checked).

I had them done professionally as I wanted to ensure proper heat resistant paint was used and wanted logos put back on in white. Also wanted entire caliper done front and back so they had to come off

How much did you pay? I'm going to do mine black with red decals (Mustang written on fronts, Pony on back) haven't been out for quotes yet, but starting to think it maybe more of a farse than expected...

I can't actually remember to be honest - somewhere between £350 and £450 for all 4 corners I think

I've had a £300 quote from a random auto firm already... Waiting on my pal to get back to me who's fixed all my car paint issues before, will see what he wants! :headbang:

Look the nut sin red by the way :). So what meets can we expect to see you at ;)

Hi anubis,

Where did you get the red leather beading on console and doors? Can you share the link please?
