Visibly they’re going to look the same as they’re the same basic idea: wifi board and Bluetooth module. The software could be different, though, making this less of a pita.

Agreed. Give them a call and ask them.

That’s the CarPlay2Air one, which I referenced in the OP. I’m asking about a different brand for the very reason you just mentioned. Hellhorse is the one that makes the digital gauge and base-to-Sync3 conversion kits.
I know. I didn't know if you had seen it. Just trying to be helpful. Honestly I'd be surprised if anyone actually had one of these from Hellhorse. They certainly do not provide a lot of info on it.

Yea, that’s why I was hoping someone here has it. The CarPlay2Air ones are made to work with a ton of cars, the Hellhorse one might be only for Sync3 which, if it is unique and not just a rebranded CarPlay2Air, could mean it’s not a huge PITA since the software would only have a single emphasis (Sync3).

Tell you what though, wireless CarPlay is really worth it. I have it in my other car, (pioneer head unit with wireless CarPlay) and its just nice not having to connect my phone every time im in and out for short trips. Its seamless to connect between phones, I can charge my phone and can click gf's phone on the screen so hers is the CarPlay, even though mines charging. just small stuff like that is nice.

And well, I can play movies while driving, Lol. factory glitch on the pioneer I purchased, I loaded a micro sd card with like 300gb of movies/shows and she can watch the movies while I drive across states etc. If I want, I can turn on a movie, and disable the screen too (I like listening to movies while I drive) from like ohio to Florida.
