Ugh. ADMs... Build as many as they can sell... Here we go again... Somebody please post the dead horse cartoon again. Maybe some of these guys are visual learners.
Actually it is you and a couple others who really need to just get over it. There will be enough GT350s to go around and satisfy every willing buyer. Yes it is for this reason that they will get cheaper with time as the market begins to saturate as it always does with SE offerings.

It is OK that latter buyers will pay less. Really, its not going to change your life.

^I would expect that later buyers would also have whatever issues are revealed in the early models addressed. And hopefully a power bump as well as a more scalable palette of options for the car.

But for the Early adopter... if they actually get to drive the car.... good for them. I can still be happy they got what they wanted.

Hey if you can wait until 2017 then yeah you can get one at MSRP more easily. Now to say enough to satisfy every willing buyer? No not hardly. Saturate the market? Really? Some will move on to another product, M4, Roush, etc. A few on this forum have even stated that. Unless you have some Professor Xavier powers that others claim to have around here.

Did you read my thread on production numbers?

Keep telling your self that....and I hope your alarm clock wakes you up for work..because your dreaming. Ford is NOT going to saturate the market. Im not saying they will not come out with something different/better, maybe, but the are not going to make as many as they can sell. Let Dodge do that...

And what is your position in Ford corporate to have all this alleged "insider" information? Info that's completely BS unless you know more than Jim Owens now too, Ford's Shelby/Boss brand manager, who stated unequivocally that production numbers would between the Boss which was 4,000/year and the modern GT500 which at peak was 5,100/year

VP of knows nothing?

Some of you ADM freaks are incredibly dense.

And if there is demand for more than 5k cars - let,'s say for 8k cars, as a random example-, my "conspiracy theory" is wrong how, exactly?

And for the ADM, where did I say that anyone other than the dealer receives it?

Maybe you :headbonk: too much for your own good.

How is that^ even a response?

You stated that ford is purposely limiting the cars. I outright told you that is not the case. There is a finite amount they can make each year. It isn't a conspiracy.

You were suggesting that ford is doing this for ADM... and I told you Ford doesn't receive the ADM.

Following along yet..?

Actually, I did get over it... As in, I got an R coming and could care less about what you think about production. You're here arguing just to instill and argument... Immature at best. Good luck buddy, and good day.

Look... I don't get what all the hub bub is about. Here is what you need to know... The R outran the 911 GT3 track time. If that is the case, then the R has acceleration similar if not above that of the GT3. Nuff said!

Who the hell gives a bird turd about a straightline POS as a Hellcat? It may beat you to turn one, but the owner better hope it has thick undercoating cause it's gonna sail off into the rocks. A Dodge will dodge everything but the garage.
That is a bold statement considering the GT3 runs 11.2-11.3 @ 125 or so. That would make the GT350 as fast as the Trinity GT500 in a straight line. I hope that's true but I'm a realist.

It also ran within 1000th of a second on one track, it did not outrun it. Either way it's impressive

I'm with you, but how else can you account for the cars having the same lap times? Especially when the Porsche has a PDK...

The Shelby has to be making time up somewhere on the track to account for the lack of a PDK and I'm hardpressed to believe it's making the time up in the corners.

Again, I'm not saying the Shelbynis as fast in a straight line as either the Hellcat or the Porsche, but for it to lap Grattan as fast as a GT3 means something.

One or more of the news articles implied that the GT350 makes up time on braking.

It's definitely not set up for ultimate 0-60 times, but on a road course you don't start from 0. Above 30 mph you will be well into the power band, and most corners on a road course will be that fast or faster. So I would have to assume the GT 350 will at least hold its own under acceleration in most areas of the track as well.

In no way do you have to defend the $67,000 GT350... against the $130,000 Porsche..!

I agree. There is only so much you can do in your price point. People comparing the GT350 to a new Z06 or GT3 are talking about cars that are 5 digit figures more expensive- $30k and up more expensive; and the GT350 still gives them a run for their money.

You can do a heck of a lot with your lightweight materials when you have $30-60k to play with in the car manufacturing cost.

My take on this is Donson is right to a point. I think they will stop producing the Mustang GT350 and the next iteration of this car will be introduced again as a Lincoln Coupe halo car. Something to finally rival the CTSV and yet set it apart with the new american exotic VooDoo motor.

And with that there will be more innovative breakthroughs added to the Lincoln version of this.

Lincoln needs a shot in the arm and the VooDoo platform is just the ticket to do that with a nice dose of ecoboost thrown in to keep it elegantly powerful and surprisingly economical.

I too think that they are really going to stand by the production numbers hinted at, around 5,000. They are not going to saturate the market or else their halo car gets a bit less special to owners.

So far Dodge has shown is they cannot even deliver the number they speculated and had to cancel 900 2015 orders. I have high doubts they will truly double production next year. And even if they do, who wants to see a Hellcat at every corner. It takes away from the fun of owning a more exclusive car.
