RoteUniversity resurrected a thread of his from last year that got me curious: how many of you have wear marks on the headliner panels that get pulled into place beside your rear windows? I do....

I'll have to look at that the next time I get a chance but maybe you should chime in with Trisha FordService.

I have this same problem. They replaced the headliner 3 times now. Not a fun process....

Yeah, not so much fun. I had mine replaced because the straps that pull that plastic piece into position had snapped (I bought my V6 as a used, recertified vehicle from Ford).

Halfway through installing the new headliner, they noticed there were 2 holes in the new headliner and had to remove it and order another.

Apparently the replacement headliners are a design change from the original (2015) and those plastic pieces are longer and were catching in the mechanism.

Somewhere in there, they noticed the wear marks (on the new headliner) and, since they didn't want to replace headliner again, had someone repair them. The repair looked OK originally but seems to be wearing away a bit.

I still have 12 months/12,000 miles on B2B warranty, so I will let it go for the summer and see if it gets worse. If so, I'll probably follow up before warranty is gone.
