OK, OK, I know you will tell me if I want brighter headlights I should not have tinted them. :headbonk: But I did it anyway. :D
:clap2: PS the light tint kit I got from CJPP looks awesome in the daytime.

BUT, last night, not so great. dim on the highway, almost dangerous on back country roads. SO, anyone have info on updating to a brighter headlight to compensate? I looked a little on google search, but thought if someone else on here already did this maybe it would make my job a tad easier with some recommendations from a group I trust.

LOL... You tinted your headlights, and now it's too dark, and instead of removing the film for safety, you want to install brighter lights?

If you like the look, maybe you should relegate the Mustang to daytime driving only, and get a night-only car.

My $.02...it's illegal for a reason, remove it.

OP, I did the same but with the lightest tint from BWG. I loved the look but like you, first trip out at night I found it reduce the light too much. Plus as mentioned, it's illegal. I pulled them back off the first day.

I think the better solution is to get the housing blackened. I'm just nervous about opening the headlights and then getting them to reseal. I had experience with that in the past and my headlights were always getting fogged up.

I used the American Muscle full tint kit and also found my headlights dimmed too much. I decided to remove the tint, and will be installing the Anchor Room amber reflector blackout

 Did not check to see if it is legal or not, LOL. I am moving soon to Indiana and it looks to be legal there. BUT, we shall see. Just thought it looked good, maybe I should think about some of my mods before I do them??

This tint kit came from CJPP and is Anchor rooms normal tint. They also have a lighter tint as well.

How long has it been on? I doubt a heat gun would be necessary. Just peel it off and use Goo Gone on the remaining adhesive residue.

You will be able to just peel it off, no residue or need for Goo Gone. You can even save it and put it back on if you want. I saved the paper they came on, put them back on it and saved them just in case.

Im soon to remove mine too. I lose so much visibility even with a 5K bulbs in. Not worth my life or the car for a +1 cool factor.
