AM tint peeled right off, a few weeks after installation with no residue; I presume it will be the same for your tint

I am majorly lost at why someone might switch out the stock 4300k headlights for dimmer lower output 5000k (but a whiter/bluer) color temp (which inherently seems dimmer to our eyes) and considers that an upgrade somehow.

tint the corners at the most, don't tint the headlights themselves.

OK, OK, I know you will tell me if I want brighter headlights I should not have tinted them. :headbonk: But I did it anyway. :D
:clap2: PS the light tint kit I got from CJPP looks awesome in the daytime.

BUT, last night, not so great. dim on the highway, almost dangerous on back country roads. SO, anyone have info on updating to a brighter headlight to compensate? I looked a little on google search, but thought if someone else on here already did this maybe it would make my job a tad easier with some recommendations from a group I trust.

First off, Your car is fuckin beautiful:D

Second; I am going to tint my lights, but my stang will be a weekend/daytime driver and wont see back roads. or nighttime driving Otherwise, I would not tint.

Third; As suggested here, you can tint the sides of the heads only.

Fourth; Your car is fuckin beautiful:D. Oh, did I already say this.

I did the BWG "Tint" (lightest) and mine don't seem significantly less bright at all.

I have NOT resolved the issue yet. Two options I see are the side tint, and a lighter tint. I do not drive a ton a night so it is not a major issue at the moment. But I drove it a second time and it is def. too dark. So I need to fix this.
I was thinking the lighter tint and wondered if I could put the dark side tint on top of that. Anyone try that?

Like others said remove it. Not worth it. If you get in an accident at night, they will blame the tint for sure. Get black stripes and red pin stripes and enjoy the red tail lights as they go nicely together.:)

Nice looking Stang, I like the white with black stripes, the red accent sets it off also.

Perhaps they found the appearance to be what was upgraded. For me personally, I didn't notice mine being any more dim than what the stock, un-tinted light output was, but the color temp of the light is much better (IMO). Of course, the headlights themselves don't have very much material on them at all. That's likely why. So yes, as far as the tinting part goes, doing just the corners is the better option. Yet another reason I prefer spraying mine. Lay the tint down heavy on the corners and feather it as you approach the headlight itself. You can't really notice the fade and there is no obvious cut line.

I also drive a very limited amount at night. I used 50 % Anchor Room headlight tint on mine. Very happy with it. I have no issues driving at night. I would start with 50%.

Xantom: That 50% would be considered the "light" tint, right?

Yes I did the whole kit, only the headlight pieces were 50%.
