As the title states, heading to the local dyno to see what kind of numbers the stage 1 kit puts down.

The setup:

2017 GT, A6 Car, 3.55 gearset
Whipple GEN 3/750HP Stage 1 kit (93 Octane)
MMR OPG's/Sprocket
Completely stock otherwise, Running the Whipple tune with Octane Adjust turned off, knock limiting still active.
91 Octane Pump gas with Boostane. (93 or greater not available)

Appears to be a Dynojet dyno.

I did have a couple of questions. I'm sure the operator knows, I was going to unplug the connector by the air box which should fully disable the advance trac/traction control (had read that just holding the TC switch does not fully disable in dyno situations), and I believe 4th gear is preferred? I just want to be prepared just in case the operator is unaware of how to properly dyno an S550 and looking for some advice on that.

Guesstimate, hoping for 550ish, uncorrected. Over 600 corrected and I would be perfectly happy.

Scheduled for the 20th of April, results and video shortly after.

*RESULTS*

Car made 643HP/529TQ:

I was very pleased with those results with a pull after a short cool down backing it up north of 600.

Huge thanks to @LethalPerformance , Modular Motorsports Racing, and @Whipple SC for their help and great products.

Now it's off to the dragstrip to run some 12's. Currently I only have 255 Nitto's out back, which are very undersized for this power no doubt. Hoping to use the Whipple power by gear function to let me apply as much as I can down low, and let hear eat up top!

Results on that coming this Friday.

If u have 315 gears 4th gear pull or the computer will shut it down around 170.I have done a quite a few dynos and just turn advance track off.If 93 fuel only i say 675.

Thanks Tommy!

Forgot to mention it has the 3.55 gear, original post updated.

I would be very pleased with those results for sure. Biggest issue around here is lack of fuel, only 91 present so I am going to use 91 with the recommended Boostane.

Amazing we live in corn country out here, and no E85 pumps for 1 hour each direction.

Yea e85 makes a big difference in these cars..Depending on how far u run your rpms out u might be able to do a 5th gear pull.I would do a 4th gear pull first and see how close to 170 mph u are.Not goox going wot at high rpm and having computer shut shit down lol.

I'll be honest, that MPH just seems crazy to me, but I also know that 4th or 5th seems to be the way it's done. Car has only seen above 130 like twice at best, just not a top speed guy personally.

It has 1 year old Nitto NT05's out back (stock 255 width).

The only thing that keeps coming to my mind is what happened to this guy:

https://www.automobilemag.com/news/watch-ford-mustang-gt-blow-a-tire-on-dyno-at-150-mph/

That...would be a bad day.

Why dyno in 4th? Tires will just spin. 1 to 1 ratio is 5th gear

Because if u have 315 gears u hit the speed limiter in the pcm and cuts fuel basically ending the pull.355 gears u might be able to do a 5th gear pull.

I would do 4th first and look and see what mph u are seeing at the end of your pull.If your are close to 170 u wont be able to do a 5th gear pull. What rpm do u do a pull to?

Make sure your dyno operator pulls it to at least 7000rpm

I have not put it on since new clutch and opg/cs has been done. I have a p1sc at 10 psi. Was going to try 7k and 7500.

U can try fith gear,if u get to the top of the run and it sounds like u hit a limiter its no big deal,u will just have to do it in fourth gear then.U will know because the pcm.will just close the throttle or cut fuel.
