Here’s one I couldn’t find, so don’t beat Memphis up too bad for another header question.

Say I have an existing system; in this case, Borla ATAK cat back. Obviously the x-pipe on that deletes the resonators (irrelevant) and clamps right up to the stock mid/cat pipes. Now say I add ARH long tubes (or some other brand, if it matters) after the fact. From pics I’ve seen, it doesn’t look like the two will fit together without some other wor/parts. What’s missing? What needs to be done, or what parts need to change or be swapped out to marry the two items together.

If relevant to the conversation, that’s what I’d like to do....Borla ATAK with ARH long tubes. Chose those based off great feedback.

Any other tips or ideas you guys want to add, please do. I’ll take it.

I think what your after is called a catted or green cat setup. I was asking the same question when at Mustang Week with one of the vendors, forgot who. Essentially, a cat back bolts to a stock factory header system. An aftermarket header system, with the appropriate cat setup can bolt to a stock cat back or cat back compatible to factory, I.e, Borla Atak or Ford Racing by Borla sport exhaust. That is at least what I remember from the conversation. Have not done both header or cat back because I heard it and it’s loud, I mean loud.

No, that’s not what I’m after. My original question was as intended. I don’t want/need to run cats. The way I see it, if it’s that loud, normal mode on an active exhaust system should provide that tame option when needed with an active system. I want to keep my ATAK system when I add long tubes later...how to they connect?

Most systems offer non catted mid pipes to connect header to stock or aftermarket exhaust system.
