competition is welcome we get well and truly raped and pillaged with anything we buy in the automotive sector in this country its a joke had the dollar not dropped so much it would be a different story. I would imagine had we had dollar parity the aussie manufacturers would not be even in the ball game.......

Just got of the phone from DiFillipo then. Their production long tubes are probably about 6 weeks away. I'm pretty positive I'll be buying a set of them very early on! Fella reports Blue Oval got about 20kw just from header change which reflects what KPM reported.
The fella I spoke to ont he phone was a Holden fan but said he drove the 'stang and is a convert. He wants one!

Nice, 20kw from headers, 20+kw from a tune - more than 10% increase from relatively cheap mods doesn't sound too bad.

no.
Only if the aftermarket part contributed to or caused the fault. eg if your aftermarket exhaust causes a fire you are out of luck.
Wouldn't the car also need a tune after fitting headers (if you fit headers, Its a 99% chance you will also fit the new exhaust as well)....

I know once you install a tune, you would be hard pressed to claim an engine failure..

I've only installed Catback exhausts before, as it didn't need a retune, i also had plans to install new headers and custom tune after the 3yr warranty.

Only problem is that i have always found a new toy before the warranty runs out..

Be good if someone can clear this up.

The more i think about it, new headers have more flow, so this would change the back pressure, also if you installed a new air intake this would also change the air intake.. so wouldn't the engine run lean without a tune...

i can't see any dealer replacing a engine with headers or a new air intake ..

Headers and a tune void warranty
