I did mine on ramps ....You need lots of good ratchet wrenches ..Band aids for the cuts you are going to get ... I have done worst installs but these are not easy by any means .. I just traded my car in for a auto car and the dealer is removing my headers for me as part of the deal ...I don't think I'm going to waste my time and install them on my new car ..I may just sell them ..

Yea, I figured my hands would get chewed up. I've put headers on a couple of 11-14GT's and a couple of 05-09GT's and it's no picnic. I do them on jack stands in my shop and I'm NOT looking forward to it. LOLOL!! Congrats on your new auto GT!

Forgot to ask how many miles do you have on your new Stang? I just hit 132 but have to get it broke in for some passes at the track when RB comes home for the Holidays!:eyebulge:

Just did SP two weeks ago. Not real hard, other than the passenger side top, directly behind the AC condenser line. Top bolt on starter is a little tough with header primaries in the way. Worst part was hitting my head on the jack I used to support the transmission and engine with the motor mounts removed! Must've done that 10 times.

Reinstalling motor mount bolts was tough because of the thread lock installed from factory. Didn't have half in drive for impact to tighten them back down. Probably took 30 min for those 4 bolts.. 30 min of straight wrench-turning..

Good luck!

Thanks Bob!!! RB has been a HUGE help on things I've asked about. Really nice guy and I appreciate his input! I have 170 miles on mine now. Guess that's enough for this year. LOL!!!!:D

Just installed some kooks 1 3/4 on my 2015 with 74k miles on it. Passengers side is horrible but so is tightening the top rearward bolt for the drivers side (I think that one was worse). Took me 2 solid days of work but I got held up with seized O2 sensors, head nuts, and catalytic nut on the pass side. No chance you are getting the top rear drivers side bolt to 20ftlbs if you get the kooks though. I had to fish up a short wrench and turn it about 30deg with my fingers not enough space to even get a ratcheting wrench in there cuz it’s so close to the pipe. Miserable time but at least it sounds good lol

I installed my kooks headers myself. passenger side sucks but its not impossible. Patience and a high quality set of flex head wrenches are needed. I did all the passenger side bolts from underneath. Drivers side is cake

I used a long wrench SET and did it from the top. passed it through parallel to the head and was able to get a good grip on it to torque it down

That would’ve been clutch. Did you weld something up or happen to have a foot+ long 11mm? Lol I couldn’t reach from the engine bay but thought some people must do it
