Read many threads here and elsewhere on the subject, track event next week, want to go with proper front camber.

I read that the bolts are not recommended for track use, is that true?

If not, are the Vorshlag really worth the money over MM or Steeda? Do the Vorshlag really add any ride height? Seen reports they do, seen reports they don't? Are the MM and Steeda a different design in the area that may or may not add height?

I live near American Muscle, could probably get either Steeda or MM next day ground, or even pick up.

Any other must haves? I figure I should change the brake fluid out that I did Watkins Glen on and change the oil.

I've ordered Vorshlag but have no idea if I will ever receive them. The customer service is almost non existent. No answers to emails. You call, someone finally answers, they say they will call you back and nothing.

FWIW, I went with Maximum Motorsports as that's what the Track Attack cars use. If they're good enough for Ford, they're good enough for me.

I like to disassemble things.
I like what I see in the Vorshlag plates and credit them for their efforts on them. Job well done.

I still just picked up a set of CC plates from Maximum Motorsports anyway. They got the ball rolling over two decades ago with respect to CC plates and haven't missed a beat from Fox bodies through to the current S550. They test, race, and employ some really sharp engineers. The owner Chuck Schwynoch, is the friendliest and most down to earth guy I know in the industry. Jack Hidley has always been available, on the web or on the phone for technical help - no matter how difficult or complicated.

So I bought knowing who has my back if I were ever to need help or have a problem.

Maximum.

Im using bolts as are a few members. I tried to get USA made bolts for a little more comfort.

I couldnt find a definitive answer. I only found one BMR bolt failure but the cause wasnt clear.

i have vorshlags in my gt. i'm very happy with them. i am surprised and disappointed in the comment above about the lack of customer service with vorshlag... it's been 1/2 a year since i bought mine and i didn't know things have gone so badly. it took less than 3 weeks for me to receive mine, and that included the time to machine them to order and ship them to me in canada.

used to have steedas in my old s197 and those did not serve me well. i did not go with maxmium motorsports only because they were out of stock at the time i wanted them.

MM plates here and was able to get them quickly. I like that Track Attack use them extensively. I went with R alignment but understand there was a bit more neg camber available if needed. Great value- do it before spreading outside shoulders.

I bought the MM, have an appointment to get them installed at the local BMW performance shop.

I think I bought all the correct hardware too, since most of the fasteners are not reusable (according to the MM website).

There's another thread on that somewhere on here.
