Has anyone upgraded the rear axles yet?

Just curious if anyone has upgraded the rear axles yet (more so those that are using the car for track use vs. just daily driving)?

Coming from many years of 5.0 Fox bodies, 5.0 SN95's and DOHC SN95's I knew all of the aftermarket parts costs from various vendors. I have never really paid attention to any of the S550 parts pricing until my recent purchase....

So I was looking in Summit Racing's current catalog and damn - $1,600 for upgraded rear axles from Ford Racing?? Why are rear axles so expensive for the 15/16 Mustangs? Just because the models are new to market?

Bought from hypermotive my DSS 800 he axles for a great price, I'd contact him and get a quote. If your not going to be running crazy hp then go with dss 800 hp axles youll save money

800 hp DSS axles here, I haven't had a chance to install yet but I don't see myself making more than 800 wrhp.

I've seen a few go for sale recently. I got my frpp halfshafts on this forum for $725 shipped. You might want to wait and see if u can get a good deal on a set.

DSS 800HP axles here and they are super easy to install.

FR Half shafts here, had issues in the passed with DSS, so FR were my only other option.
