I'm considering installing stripes on my 15 GT. Big Worm has complete stripe kits available. Anyone done their own install? Any tips on experience or install? Appreciate any constructive input.

I cutted and installed myself.
It is not hard, but requires to be careful when installing, try not to install in direct sunlight or if the car is very hot. If you're having a bad time installing them it could help to apply with water and soap, you must remove the excess carefully or you might get bubbles.

I did mine with the help of two friends. Helps having a friend because you can measure and verify both sides at once before you lay everything down. Key is to just be patient, use soapy water spray, and measure a bunch before you lay anything down. I think mine turned out great.

I'm going bumper to bumper. How did you get everything to line up at the hood/bumper/spoiler/etc.? Level or lazer?

A laser would've been useful but I don't have one I could put on a tripod or something in front of the car. I lined a string from front to back and measured until it was straight to the car.

With our stripes, we recommend water only (no soap). Soap will damage the adhesive and cause the stripes not to stick well months later. With our pre-cut kit it makes lining everything up easier - the larger sections like the hood, roof and trunk already have the gap set. For those sections you just measure from the side of the hood, roof or trunk to the sides of the stripe on both sides. On the smaller sections (bumpers, spoiler, etc) you measure from the center of the car to the stripe edge. The center of the car is more visible on those areas which makes it easier. The previous posts gave some great advise also about being patient and do the install in a good area out of the sun and wind. We include instructions, a squeegee and a diagram with the kit. You are also welcome to call our shop during our business hours and you can ask us any questions. 817-876-2269

I added the pin stripes on my own last week. The black main stripes I did myself as well... However, the center point was aligned by my father in law with tape. He has a paint shop and also installs these. Once the tape was set, installing them was the same as I did on the pin stripes.
