Has anyone installed a 3160 to replace the broken MT82. Sorry if I have missed a post, Guessing input shaft may be different spline but thinking shifter placement must be the same. Not sure on overall length. Seeing if this would be a way to use some of the parts I already have.

Its a weaker trans than the MT82 on paper, however its HUGE upside is that Gforce gear company makes a 2000hp billet gear set for it, as the gear set is I believe very similar if not the same as the TR6060.

If you have the wallet for it and can source one cheap (cheapest I have seen is 2k for a used one, prob 3-4k for the gearset, plus a rebuild cost) its a viable option, but not better than just doing a T56 or 6060 swap.

What torque specs did you see for 3160 and MT82? The GT350's 3160 and N/A Coyote would be a great combo. Although for F/I, I would probably just install Tremec Magnum, and get the 700 lb ft.
