Seeing the base GT, makes me so glad I bought the performance pack with the bigger black wheels

Technically you all lose. The OEM 18s are 27.3" in diameter and the OEM 20s are 27.3" They're the same diameter with the tire. The PP are 27" in front, smaller than the other wheel sizes, and 27.7" or a whole .4" in total diameter bigger in the rears.

Not a huge difference between all of them

I did the same thing putting pro kit springs on the front only first. It handled very weird. Throw the rears on and u will be much happier, unless u just care about looks.

I think the point was that the amount of sidewall (tire) in the smaller wheel helps hook on a drag race but degraded when some dummy mentioned a Jeep or something.

That was the first thing I thought too. It looks odd with small tires in the back and a big gap there.

I was assuming people were talking about weight with regards to larger rim diameter. Lighter wheels are better for handling and acceleration.

unsprung weight. 19s and 20s always lose. Cant think of a time they have been lighter.

Rake is indeed windshield terminology, stance is the term used in how the car sits front to back. The stance with the tail in the air is reminiscent of the 70s stangs. It's yours do as u wish....

Rake is also an industry term used to describe inclination of the car as seen in side view, and it can be either positive or negative depending on which end of the car is higher. I think it's the car's floorpan that is the specific part of the body that rake is really associated with, positive rake having the floorpan higher at the rear. I've even seen rake discussed in terms of degrees, at least as far back as the introduction of the 3rd gen F-body cars in 1982.

"Stance" is an over-used term that seems to have no specific definition at all - it can mean way too many different things to different people.
