So, from what I am reading, the difference between the standard suspension and the Handling package option are the spoilers, wheels/tires and adjustable upper strut mounts. Is that correct?

They should offer those wheels with the Pilot tires as well. They really look sharp on the car. I really don't get the lack of customization freedom. You'd think for the jing they are getting for the vehicle it wouldn't be so restrictive.

Thanks. Very clear that other than tires and wheels and the tuning it looks like the ride quality of both will be very similar. I would think, then that the standard Mach 1 will have handling better than my Bullitt?

Since I was not a fan of the transmission gearing on my Bullitt, specifically 1st with is almost exactly the same as the Mach 1, I started looking at tires. Sticking with the PS4s, Here is an interesting observation: Since virtually all Mustangs have tires about 27.7" high, a shorter tire will have the effect of lower overall gearing. As long as the computer can be adjusted for these. And these are all the Michelin PS4s:

Front stock: 255/40R19 overall height: 27.1" high tread width 9.3"

Rear Stock: 275/40R19: overall height: 27.7 high tread width 10.1"

Here are possible replacements. Information from Tire Rack.
front: 255/35R19 26" high, tread width 10.2"
rear: 295/30R19 26" high, tread width 11"

Now, clearly the car will ride harder and I don't know what effect this might have on the MagneRide, tuning but a few things would be gained:

Lower to ground by about 1/2"
Widest tires recommended for the rims gaining nearly an inch front and rear.
Effectively changes the overall rear axle ratio from the stock 3.73 to 3.97

Just messing around, but the wider tires do give options.

for someone that plans on keeping the handling package wheels on the car but wants to swap the cup 2’s, what do you think about pilot sport 4s in 325/30/19? I wish they had the factory size 315 but I doubt I would need to adjust with forscan for that small of a change

Not true, they changed it so you can get it with a 10 speed. Mach 1 going to be better than a GT350. Mark my words.

Are you planing on ordering wheels from the USA, or have you found something suitable for sale here in Europe?

I also hope to get a square set of 19x11, but will try to install Vorshlag camber plates first, as camber plates (and extended wheel studs) seems to be required in order to get x11 wheels aligned suitably for track.
