Noticed the GT 500 owners supplement mentioned the Gurney flap and splitter wickers were for track use only.
Can anyone tell me why you should not run them on the street?

How many people have bought this car for mileage considering its a 12/18 already, raise your hand I'll wait.

:clock:
Ford for the fed requirements, every 1/100th of a mile counts.

I'm sure the base model was Federally certified for gas mileage with out those pieces in place. Hence "Track Only". I'll be putting all the goodies on it. I'm more concerned with "Smiles per mile" vs MPG> JP

How sharp are the edges of those parts? I think regulations dictate no exterior edges sharper than .25" radius or something like that.

ZL1 1LE...?

Edit: Pretty sure none of that front aero is made to come on and off, seen those shipped right from the factory with all of their wickers on if I'm not mistaken and they're larger/sharper.

I doubt they are .25 radius but i would never ever consider them sharp? But to the government ....they might just be.....

Thanks! Great points. How do you think it would effect tire wear or ride quality?
