So today I ordered H&R springs with the Hotchkis sway bar set. Does any member here have any experience of either of these 2 products? I have used the H&R springs on 2 other vehicles and have good things to say about them. The Hotchkis bars are the biggest I have found. 36.5mm front and 25.5mm rear Tubular steel and 2 way adjustable.

'H&R Springs' is very general...

Which spring set did you order?

---

I know the below doesn't apply to an S550 - but....

I can personally attest to H&R Race Springs (red) that I installed on my 94 Cobra. The drop was 1.25" both front and rear and the springs are VERY rigid. When I say very rigid I mean there's nearly no jounce or bounce at all when trying to press down on front end - or even when driving. There's also no body roll when entering or exiting corners or off/on ramps - the car stays nearly flat...

If you live in an area where road surfaces are deteriorated - you're going to have a very stiff riding vehicle of which you will have NVH if using similar springs.

My suspension on my Cobra is:
H&R Race front/rear
Energy Suspension urethane spring isolators front/rear, sway bar end links, sway bar bushings and trans mount.
Maximum Motorsports camber/caster plates
Hotchkis rear lower control arms w/greasable urethane bushings
Steeda boxed upper control arms w/urethane bushings
2003 Cobra front lower A-arms
1995 Cobra R front sway bar
Ford Racing strut tower brace

:)

These are the 1.3" front and the 1.1" rear. Yes the H&Rs are firm. This is why I ordered. German made. Not the chinese ebay crap.
