What? Truth hurts? Ultra sensitive? Lol

Fact of the matter is if people really feel that way and so strong about it that they feel the need to post in this thread then they should be driving a gas sipper or something with a battery.

The title of this section is:

V8 5.0L Engine / Mods: Bolt-ons, Exhaust, Tuning

NOT

V8 5.0L Engine / Air Pollution and EPA Requirements
Like I said take a deep breath... let it go, you're not right and you're not wrong.

Anyone know the length & diameter of the factory cats are ? Not enough room to crawl under to measure them.

I posted a thread about this. I gutted my cats a week ago and I noticed an increase in throttle response and obviously sound.

I gutted my cats a few weeks ago and honestly I regret it a little bit. I wish I had just gone with high flow cats or catted headers. It is only slightly louder but it is quite a bit more raspy. Oh well, we live and learn. This just means i'll be buying new headers sooner rather than later.

Not sure about gutting the cats, but i have my dyno sheet before and after and with the mak cat deletes i gained 16hp.Theirs is hp their when removing the cats. Now when u have high flow cats and remove them theirs not going to be a big hp change because the high flow cats flow much better then the stock ones.As far as gutting not sure about hp but when i gutted them on my older mustang i hated the sound, kind of a hollow sound that sounded terrible. But their is proven fact that their is hp to be gained from removing the stock cats.

I forgot to mention that in my initial reply. I did feel slightly more power when driving right after gutting the cats. It is hardly enough to feel noticeable but I could feel a little difference in the 2000-3000 range.
