Hi P51Guy,

That is bad to the bone. I did something similar with my '98 Procharger build, (but self polished the powerhead and green powder coated the involute). The overall finish you achieved blew anything I did away. The question I have is what did you do to paint the engine bay pieces? Dead match for Guard? Costs to have done or do yourself? Thank you sir!
The engine pieces were purchased from RPI Designs. O wait for them to run sales and get between 10 & 15% off. The 3 pieces cost about $475.00.

Guard is definitely a good looking color, 68fbjjz109. And your's is gorgeous.

I went back and forth b/w guard and ruby red and you can see which one I landed on. No regrets whatsoever, but guard does look darn good.

Enjoy that green beast!
Thanks. Frankly there aren't many colors especially metallic ones that the S550 doesn't wear well.

One thing I do like about guard is it's rather low key. Should help me stay under the visual radar a bit.

I care about infotainment
Finally.

The car, and color is something else. The dealer is going to order a coupled more like mine, because so many people asked about it. Specifically the option set once they saw it.

It was humbling to see how many people including dealer employees who stop to look at the car as they brought it around.

With about 50 miles on the car two people on the road said something while waiting at lights, the other while getting food.

Got followed by a M4 for a bit, who seemed very interested as well.
This combo - Guard with the PP wheels sold me on the car. As soon as I saw Brian Makse review with the same combo I knew that's what I had to have. I'm not even a fan of black wheels normally, but it just works in this combination better than all the non-black wheel options. Cant' wait to get mine. I've seen a lot of S550s around but Guard is still pretty rare, and I have yet to see a Guard GT, or a Guard GT w/PP so I think I'll be one of the first in my area with that specific combo.

Holy Moly!

:eyebulge:

No thanks. Those wheels would look great if they were a brushed metallic finish or something along those lines.

Good question, short answer: Yes, kind of. I know this past winter when I couldn't keep my car as spotless as I normally do it stayed fairly dirty for a few weeks in a row and it looked OK. To me if Guard isn't kept clean it looks kinda dull and lifeless.

It just looks gray. My car is the dirtiest its ever been right now. I havent had the time to wash and detail it lately. My daily is on the fritz, so keeping this clean has been a chore. I'll tell you tho, it shows dirt more than i anticipated.
