These times actually make me more impressed with the GTD.

I believe it was GM engineers that drove the car as well not a professional driver like the GTD....just an FYI.https://www.driverdb.com/drivers/drew-cattell
It might be faster around the ring but obviously Ford did a pretty good job with the GTD considering being down on power to both cars.
Judging by their turn in, and where they are apexing, they don't seem to have much track time. And that’s not even with a pro driver. It’s one of their engineers. I don’t know his driving credentials/experience though.
Yea I didn’t realize they took all three Corvettes there (Z06, ZR1, ZR1X). I was watching ZR1X lap and I could definitely see mistakes that I expect a pro driver wouldn’t make.Judging by their turn in, and where they are apexing, they don't seem to have much track time.
I posted the test drivers resume, he has a bit of experience....I believe it was GM engineers that drove the car as well not a professional driver like the GTD....just an FYI.
Edit: Someone already mentioned that.
Guys spending that type of coin on a GTD aren't taking them to tracks....They'll sit in their garages....lolI agree it makes the GTD look more impressive which I don’t think the C8 times were needed to validate. But I think it’s more of is the cost worth it pertaining to performance. ZR1 is much less and faster around that specific track.
I really wish Ford would do like how Chevy did and do popular track around the US. I assume majority of their order will be US based customers so why not advertise on the tracks the customers will most likely visit?
I’m curious on COTA, VIR, Road Atlanta, Sonoma, Watkins Glen times.
Kind of a big differenceI posted the test drivers resume, he has a bit of experience....

Umm yeah, I would agree lol
Lol that’s why I said for those who do because we know 1% of the owners willGuys spending that type of coin on a GTD aren't taking them to tracks....They'll sit in their garages....lol
