Anyone know if this swap would work on a 2021? Reason I ask is I thought I remember reading the gt350 steering wheel does not work on the 18+ cars
Thanks

There's a different model for the 18+s, see link:

https://www.steeda.com/2015-2019-mustang-steering-wheels

(not affiliated with Steeda, just an example of the different models)

Edit: Apologies, I see your question was about the GT500 steering wheel, not the GT350 one. I think they're very similar, if not the same though.

Thanks I didn’t see that one before. That’s good to know as it gives me hope the gt500 wheel will work. I’d prefer it over the 350 because I don’t want the red accents

Only the GT350R wheel has the red stripe. The regular GT350 wheel is all black. I have one in my 2018.

And yes, 15-17 and 18+ wheels are different. Just need to make sure you get the right one.

That looks really nice! What color is the stitching on that wheel? I’m trying to get something to match the accent stitching in the Mach 1 which looks white in pictures. Could be gray but I can’t really tell.

It's either white or a really light grey.

ALL 2018+ steering wheels are interchangeable with each other. Doesn't matter if its ECO or GT350 or GT500. Likewise ALL 15-17s are with each other.

Could you tell if the 350 wheel shape and thickness is different to standard Gt wheel ?
Yes and no! Exactly the same thickness, but this has flat bottom, and a different feeling due to suede/ alcantara over regular leather/pleather in the GT

Same thickness as the standard 2018+ wheel, both are thicker than 15-17 standard wheels

Thanks. I’m considering if it’s a big enough change to warrant the 1000$ plus to buy and get it here.
I do like the alcantara though.

Does anyone know if I put a gt500 steering wheel on my 2020 A10 would I keep the functionality of the gt500 paddle shifters? Is it just plug and play or would I need to tweak some wires?

Someone tried the GT500 paddle shifters in their A10 GT and they didn’t work. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/2020-gt500-paddle-shifters.121752/

edit to add: I’m still convinced it can be done in a relatively easy manner, but I’m not willing to spend the money to test it out right now.
